Default Fully Working Exhaust

Ok so this is untested but im working on it and should have the results within a day or so but here is is. Also please note i got the idea from XMW and just altered it to my need.

Here's the "Blue-Print"

The idea is the air flows thur the hood or roof scoop which ever you decide to use and travels thur the straw into the motor can out the other end thur the straw and out your custom exhaust tip idea being it forces the hot air out the can and out the exhaust also since the arm. inside the can is spinning it would force the air out creating back pressure? Well let me know what you guys think and ill let you know the results once i complete it.

Wouldnt a micro fan be better for pushing hot air out rather than just a vent? Assuming your xmod is very fast even then the air flowing down that straw would be minimal? Interesting idea though, keep us posted.

it would be more of a realism affect of pressure coming out the back to help the performace of the car then cooling it as this proto is being used on a extra s1 motor so i dont screw up a s2 motor or my s2 sb motor but if it works then ill drop it in my evo viii drift project since i believe the s1 motor has more torque then a s2 and if it works really well ill do it to my s2 sb motor for my GT-R drag project coming soon and maybe my challenger project

oh my god guyzzz!!!1 if you does teh fan, you get extra horsepowerez becuz it's liek, a turbo.

really, it's on interesting concept, but it's not going to be effective. it's not worth your effort.

just stick with a cooling fan.

Yeah agreed. They make cooling fans for this and there would be no air going through the straw at xmod speeds. If your set on trying it post some photos with the thread enjoy the mod and make it fun.

honestly, that would just be extra bulk on the car. people have discussed a "ram air" system for xmods before, but the speeds just wouldn't push enough air through the car to do anything. also, having to push that extra air would put more strain on the batteries, inhibiting your performance. i just light cigarettes and scotch tape them to the back of my chassis for an exhaust =P (JK, btw)

Or maybe if you really want warm air to go out the pipe, put in a cooling fan, but make a funnel that connects to your straw behind the motor, or maybe encase the motor in the funnel with the fan blocking the entrance to the funnel. Just my cents of duo.

I say go for it...at least you can say you tried it. It might not work but if it did you could be the first to have a real working exhaust.

You're going to need a pretty big straw... That air is going to have a hard time passing an armature going at 27k rpm...
