Yes. If you wanted to enter something that wasn't a Movie Vehicle Replica or something that wasn't classified under some other special COTM you should have entered in our last Open Class COTM or you'll need to wait for the next Open Class COTM.

say sombody made a movie and put it on youtube. could a person make a replica of a 1:1 car out of said movie or when you say movie do you mean a film made by a well-known director and has a large buget and make a large profit?

A movie you would see at a movie theater, not a movie you would see on YouTube, MetaCafe, etc.

What about movies such as anything by "The Asylum" movie group?
They aren't short movies, but just low budget remakes of popular films.
Such as:
Transmorfers (Transformers)
Death Racers (Death Race)
Sunday School Musical (High School Musical)
100 Million B.C. (10,000 B.C.)

None of which are crappy youtube style videos, yet full-length films.
However, you will never see one in theaters.

i think that would be a simple build and that body is way way to wide for a xmod, i have the kit

Must be a functioning 1:28th scale RC car (copied from enterie thread)
is that just chassis of it has to be body too?

Gentlemen, this is not hard to comprehend. If it was a car that was seen in a major production film and you have Google images to back up that it was in the movie then yes it can be submitted into this competition.

It's a stock GT500, good lord no. Just because I saw a Honda Civic in the background of The Goonies does not mean it's a movie car. Something that was custom and iconic to the movie. Not some stocker tossed into for product placement.

Knvictd- Movie movie cars man, come on...

This is why we can't have nice things, you all over think the subject entirely.

Oh alright.

Btw If anyone wants to be unique and original, They should give it a try to do a death race themed car.

As long as it resembles a major car that played a major role in Death Race. From what I gather from that post, you could mean just throw an F150 into a pile of Transformers bodykit pieces and call it good. No, that will not work. It has to resemble an actual car used in the actual movie.

I understand now.

P.S.- Who's this 'knvictd' fellow you speak of? Never heard of him.
