Killed quality FTW..

Haven't named her yet, but this is our new neighbor. She lives atop the front door and watches us enter and exit the house. She's gotten so used to us that she doesn't even fly away when we walk in or out of the house; even in front of her nest.

In her nest.

When she did fly away to gather food, or so I assume, I snapped a few pictures of her nest up close. To my surprise, she's been a busy gurl with four eggs!
Eggs in the nest.

And just for kicks, can you guess what this is? Not what it's an image of directly, but how I got that image. There is no post processing done except border and shrinking. The blur/effect is straight off the camera, no manipulation.

cheers,
Kyle.

Sky looks really flat. Is that from post-processing to make the rest of the image (especially the loud colors of the vehicles) pop or from the camera itself? They'd be awesome if there was a little more color in the sky to really make the whole image pop. They look really good regardless. Looks like a fun show.

Cheers,
Kyle.

I was on a look out at Chimney Rock State Park N Carolina. It was pretty awesome and totally unexpected. This was actually his second pass. The first time he flew by he was went in to a turn and like a top profile of the aircraft. It would have been a more awesome shot but I was in to much aw to get my camera going. At his closest I would say maybe 50-100ft at eye level. Luckily he circled and made one more pass. Then flew off and I never seen him again.

I really like the framing in the first shot. The tree branch in the top of the photo really helps keep the sky in focus.
