Their Nitro RTR's typically go anywhere from $400+. Kits I'm not to sure about.

For best information, you can search for what you want. We can't tell you what you want and how much you're going to spend: http://www.teamlosi.com/

Also, search some higher end forums for answers on speed and what not. RCU, places like that. An Xmods forum isn't going to give you the answers you want/need.

Nah don't go nitro, if you HAVE to go Traxxas, at least get the VXL versions with the Velineon Brushless system in them. Just as fast if not faster than the nitro and much less maintenance. Plus you can drive wherever you want and not **** everybody off.

Traxxas Nitro gets PWNED by any other Nitro manufacture out there. Well, at least it pwns everyone car who doesn't know how to work it.

Traxxas Engines really only like using the Traxxas Nitro Fuel (which isn't cheap), they over heat otherwise. The RotoStart is the RotoPieceofCrap, they work like a wondercrap; so pull start is adviced.

I would have to agree with Sky, if you get a Traxxas, get what they're good at making. Electrics.

That doesn't have to be an off the bat investment. You can use a good NiMH (3900mAh SMC/GP) instead of buying a $100 lipo. It'll still run just as good, just not as fast or as long of run times.

Yeah, but put it like this...

Yeah, but I bet the $150 battery will last you longer than $150 in fuel over time...Not to mention Nitros can be very finicky and, I know this from personal experience, they are not fun at all when they don't run right. Mine have been way more trouble than they're worth really.

I have a Team Associated RC10GT if anyone wants it, haha.

Traxxas Nitro is BULLCRAP, but the Revo is something to be recond with on/off the track. The 3.3 runs really nice once tuned, and the Revo almost wheelies, the Maxx's (and thier horrible suspension) wheelies easily...

Make sure you can get top fuel if you're going Nitro... But apart from the 3.3's the TRX cars/trucks are very nice for beginers..

The 3.3/.20 is as close to a big block as you can get, without actually being one!

Reminds me, I need to get a PS for my Revo this weekend..

One gallon of nitro is good for 2-3 hours of play. That's $20. So
150/20= 7.5 gallons of nitro..
7.5 * 2.5 = 18.75 hours of driving, back-to-back...

Electrics don't have the same feel, and the batteries have to cool down, then charge. How much run time do you get off one $70 battery compared to $20 for a gallon of Nitro...

Then it's prefrence. Nitro is fun in it's own way, and I prefer it..

the only reason why im not getting a revo 3.3 is because its too much money. i want a nitro truck because like you said, you dont have to wait for batterys to cool down. you can change it form EZ start to PS? id rather just spend more money on gas than a $150 dollar battery. anyway, ive always had electric rc's, now i want nitro

Yes, you can change from EZ Start to Pull Start. I think a PS is about $30..

If your gonna upgrade to a 3.3 from a 2.5, save the money and get something else, it's better money used...

I have Dynamite Blue Thunder, but it's hella hard to tune with, but at my LHS all the fuels are between $19 and $26..

I have a 3.3 revo, and once tuned mine runs nice on the only two nitros ive used. tornado ( i won some at a race once) and traxxas brand. I bet i could whip most of you with my REVO i love that thing. but i dont think i would ever get a smaller engine because the power is perfect in this thing.

I can go over a curbe at high speeds and not even stuter, its one of the best nitros ive owned in a long time, some of you may laugh but my CEN truck i think was one of my best probably because its my first nitro...

Oh and sweed your nitro is cheap...how much is tornado where you are.... my fuel runs from like 25$ - 30$ usually , but i try to buy good stuff...

I remember when I first got mine and was doing break in, I was hitting six/seven inch curbs, it just glides over like the curb wasn't even there..
