theres more chrome on this car than anything else. its just going to be fun mounting it all:ugh:

well i had to trim a lot off of this engine to get it in there. unfortunately there wont be any air cleaner. theres no room, it i run an air cleaner all that would be under the hood is the air cleaner. still no wheels, muahahahaha

now i just have to go get some paint tomorrow. doesn't mean it will get painted tomorrow, but i'll have the paint anyway.
oncei get it painted i can start throwing chrome, windows, chrome, interior, chrome, a few decals, chrome, and a couple things i have up my sleeve on it.

quiet crowd huh? lol

heres an update, today was nice so i wanted to get her started on the paint. i have 3 coats down and going to try to get one more before i head to the inlaws. here she sits. i still gotta play around with the dash to get it in here so its not getting painted yet. and i have a few more things im going to thrown in the interior area that you will have to wait til later to see.
coat one

coat two

coat three
and no thats not red overspray on the hood. i had to go look at the hood to see what the heck the red was in the piture. i had these in 2 different areas while i was painting. the red is from the cardboard i have behind the painting area. i always do a test spray on the backdrop to make sure the paint isn't spotting. so the reflection is showing the backdrop. trust me i was worried and wondering how that happened.

going to try one more coat before i leave.

the camera isn't doing this red justice, the paint isnt thick it will look better when i put it against a different background.

I'm not feeling the red. It would look way better with black, and red showing for the parts; plastic heatsink, suspension parts(shocks, towers, ect.), bettery cover, and the board cover.

I really hope this comes out better than planned, gotta love the oldies.

Thats nice, but you might want to cover up the wheels in the dark picture with the red light. I can invert that picture, and it will show the base of the rims.

o yeah, there is a lot of chrome that will go on here. some of them are thin parts like around the front window so gotta be very careful when i start mounting it.

no paint for a few days, supposed to be 31 for a high tommorow and 1-2 inches of snow.

small update
i was thinking about what else to do to this, and when i was at hobby lobby today i got the idea to make a chain steering wheel, so i bought some necklace stuff and went to work. i came up with this,

i need to get a finer tip for the soldering iron so i can make the final copy better. this one looks ok but a couple of spots the solder globbed before adhering.

Just a reminder, make sure you support the front clip part. If it gets one crack, in away its broken. So, if you can, try to put something metal around it, so theres no way for it to brake, well not easily.
