They would work fine if you could get them to fit. aa and aaa have the same exact voltage output. the only difference other than size is their mah rating (capacity) aaa are limited to about 1000 mah and aa are up to at least 2500 mah. more mah = longer run time but with aa you have the expense of extra weight. (700 mah aa's are probably nicd and not worth your time due to memory issues)

they are probably nicd's that are wasted from laying around and any torque you would gain would be lost with the weight differential. Buy 8 aaa 1000mah from walmart and use 6 of them. They are nimh and will perform much better.

More mah isn't always better. THere is info on this on AtomicMods' website in the FAQ.....

This is becuase a higher mah (~1000mah) may have a lower "C" rating. This will cuase them to hear up, and not last as long...

The "C" rating is the number of times the mah the cell can provide.

A 2C 800mah battery can continueously supply 1600mah for 30 minutes.
A 2C 800mah battery can continueously supply 800mah for 60 minutes.

A 2C 1000mah battery can continueously supply 1000mah for 60 minutes.
A 2C 1000mah battery can continueously supply 2000mah for 30 minutes.

And so on...... I'll post another thread (need permission first) about the "C" rating, but infro can also be found in the link below:

nice find but if i'm not mistaken they are talking about li-ion and poly cells, not nicd and nimh. The way i understand it is that 1000 mah means a draw of 1000 ma can be obtained for 1 hour (where ma is milliamp). so the bigger the mah the longer the run time. If i'm wrong then i'm wrong but this is how i think it works.
