Default Soldering iron tip

I have noticed that the sides of my soldering iron tip has been going away and looks like it will break off, whats going on? Should i buy a new iron just for the tip?

Bart? Would you know anything? Im pretty sure you use a butane soldering iron, maybe that has something to do with it. I really need a new tip!

Mine are all snap on (bluepoint) and mac however they look similar Try google searching your iron and try to find it at different retailers, the link you sent says replacements are available but that store does not seem to carry them.

i didi google it, nothing really. It techinally is a Mini-torch. Its ment for copper tubbing primarily, but it has the soldering adapters. I don't think they make replacements. I checked the Bernzomatic site and nothing
