Target
Have you guys seen the mod-able rc cars that target has? the motor upgrade has a 32,000 rpm motor, wich is just a bit higher than stage 2 but surely enough to give you the edge against your friends that run a stage 2. they are (i think) about $20-25. might be worth lookin into.

Radlines are not crap. They will smoke an xmods anyday. Firebird I will put mine to your xmods anyday.
Anyway if your looking for something between an xmods and hobby grade for an of roader then go radline. Look up threads on my name and there is a website under my thread radline hs-55 that is all radlines |

Also much more expensive and more on the pro hobby scale. I say go radlines for fun and real creAtivity because then you actually have to try (kinda) to find and do mods on it. And they are tough little cars with almost all parts cheap and replacable on towerhobbies

Look at the modification prices. The availability of parts. The prices to replace said parts. To me the radline is much more of a fun kinda hobby car without the extreme hobby style. So to call them "crap" is a little extreme

You both make good points, but I really don't think the two are comparable. Pro-Pulses are a bigger scale, and yes, they are faster and bigger. That's not to say they're tough though. I have heard of Radlines breaking as well as Pro-Pulses...everything breaks. I say if you want a smaller scale, fast, fun, truck/buggy/m/t, get a Radline. If you want something bigger and a little more Hobby-Grade oriented, get a Pro-Pulse. Both are tough, so it's more a matter of personal preference than which one is better than the other.

You don't have to stack the fets at all. I've been rubbing mine on the stocks since I bought it and I'm running the w1-180 in it

If you get the radline, but the hobby grade one. The cheapest price I found was on atomic mods, if you get the hobby grade it comes with the bearings/upgrade motor/upgrade servo and upgrade elec. So with the upgrades you save 20 bucks(on buying them for the base) plus get the electronics for free. The hobby grade variant also comes with a hook up to use an HS-55 servo, which is superior to stock.
The radlines are fun, but not as moddable as xmods.

RPMZ are a good value. I have read a review talking about them and they are said to be really fun, decently fast, and backed up with all the spare parts you could ask for.

hobbytown USA still wants $90 a pop for the RPMz. ebay is usually around $50. i lucked out and found one on the clearance rack at wal mat for $25. it isn't too shabby. kinda slow out of the box but responsive, you don't get any of that lag like when you try to revers an Xmod. radlines are nice but the two that i've bought werent very responsive at all and i've heard from a few people that this is a common problem with the target version. little annoyances like they keep turning after you release the turning wheel and it'll jet forward at full speed if you turn the TX off before the car. my 2wd mini-z monster will go all of the same places as the radline but it will go where you tell it too
