Default Texans PP

Pro-Pulse, duh. Get your minds out of the gutter..

Out to prove the haters wrong, I got it. And guess what, aside from my drive shaft gears failing, NOTHING HAS BROKEN Of course I was smart (different) and got the (ugly) truck, but at the same time it covers and protects the towers, which the buggy does not, thus thats why buggies tend to bust the towers. But, I have ran it body-less enough times now I should have broken something. Ive cart wheeled it like mad, its hit a few parked cars (wet roads = fun) and have many times ramped it of various peculiar looking ghetto ramps. Along with the given "hey kids, lay under the ramp while I jump it" type stuff.

And my neighbor, being a former owner of an RC18T a few years back, was highly impressed with it. Likes it more stock than the RC18.

Anyways, mods so far are fairly minimal. Currently trying to build a super locked diff for the rear, using the RC18 diff/drive shaft gears. Running one shock and one extra dampener per side on the rear, to cope with the extra weight of the dual motors (seems to help keep it a bit more stable). And yes, the insane asylum called the dual motor kit (with integy heat syncs). If it ever gets traction off the line it wheelies like mad. Quite fun racing the kids on the street. The torque is great.

And the TowerHobbies quick charger I got, the short run times with the dual motor kit are no issue.

Charger

The super diff, RC18 gears, PP diff body, gorilla glue, will it hold?

Videos of when it was stock:
Test 1
YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Test 2, the brother jump! 3.5 feet of run-up to the ramp, and one 8 year old bro to jump

3.5 feet? That's it? My brother's stampede has taken 7 foot jumps with only the shock caps popping off (**** plastic caps!), and drove away..

Looks pretty solid, but is the diffs from the AE a direct drop in?

Texan has a small pp. lol.

3 and a half feet from start to the ramp, the run up, sweed.

The gear (yellow gear in the pic) is the only part I have now, and it fits fine, a bit tight it seems, but I cant remember how it was stock. The RC18 diff body seemed to fit ok, but it didnt have all the stuff inside, and kinda melted once the glue failed. I dunno in stock configuration if the diff fits, but I think it does from reading somewhere.

nice, how is the dual motor? i was thinking about getting it. i run my PP really hard. just 1 Q...when the motor gets hot on mine, it stalls out and doesnt run. it never had this prob before. is it the motor? but why do you have the body past the front bumper?

Me? Never, and Im a -yank the trigger, F throttle control- kind of person when accelerating... But the thing goes to hell once the battery gets low, control wise. Otherwise, it runs basically 100% until the very end.

Dual motor, is kick ***. Its gonna kill the driveshaft gears if you havent killed them yet. Torque like no tomarrow, wheelies when it has traction. Take your time getting it all together, and get the mesh between the two motors and its gold. Also, its in your best interest to get a quick charger like mine. in 20 minutes the pack is ready to go on my charger. I just had to splice the propulse connecter to the spare connector my charger came with.

well the guy at my rs has a 15 minute quick charger for his PP. it works fine. will it work on the PP battery though? and why when my motor heats up, it stalls out

This is a real charger/discharger, and it works with other packs. Yes it works with the PP battery, Im using it.

Dunno about your motor, mine never has had that issue, and no one else I know of. The only time mine developes issues is at the very end of the battery life

Cheapest real charger they had. All you have to do is wire the plug from the propulse charger, to this one, and it has an extra adapter, so you can just cut that up. Look in my pic of the charger, you can see my home-made adapter

I agree about the body, the front looks like a ****ed of dodge ram, basically. But its the unispired rear that really kills it.

Sweed, maybe is because I can drive it with out the body landing on the ground?

Really because those are old pics and I havent driven it until last week when I finally got around to fixing it back to running condition.
