My General Projects Thread

Going to put all projects in one thread instead of multiple threads.

I'll start out with Dragbird's Firebird. First was some minor bodywork to fix some spots up. Then put on some black to see how things were shaping up. Next will be something new for me - flat black.




Next is Goodfellaz's. This one was easy. First some light grey, then some white. This is going to be one of my favorite paintjobs. There are some really cool colors and designs that will be incorporated in this one.




The two bodies along with Project Axis:



I plan on finishing Project Axis up tomorrow because it is a relatively simple paintjob. The other ones will take a bit longer.

Worked some on Goodfellaz's:

Also a little insight of the process:

First, place tape on the body and mark "bodymarks." Doorhandle, taillights, and front lower corner:



Take off the tape and sketch out design:



Cut out and place on body using your "bodymarks" to place it correctly:



Repeat on the other side. This design was relatively simple, so no need for mirror opposite:



Cover up all other areas and shoot the silver:

Were the skulls on the sides intentionally cut off like that? i'm guessing the change in orange to white will have some other graphic too?

Kaze, the stencils had to be cut off because they were too big. There will some other graphics on the white parts of the sides, bedcover, and hood.

Good stuff man, I love the resurrection of the GT-R, and the 2 GM's. Candy Orange is beautiful on the Silverado, and I can't wait to see a real picture of the fading flames on the Firebird.
