Hey guys i recently got my xmod from Fuzzy and it looks great so far ..... well i went to play it yesterday and i couldent accelerate. The turn was fine but just i couldent accelerate. Well i opend it and it seems all connected and solder on properly well i need help guys please :S im really looking foward to playing with it !

Batteries dude... Can you tell us what you checked and didn't check ? Motor, binding and etc...

im not really good with xmods :S well i unsrewd the shield for hte motor and it seemed ok red and black wires solder onto the motor then plugged in the middle. I got brand new AAA enigizers and new bats for my remote and still not working. When i turn my car and remote on u can hear like a machine noise.... turning is fine but just cant accelerate , attena is placed and everything....

Check gear mesh and is anything binding ?

can u explain steps on how to do that :S LOl im noob to xmod soz i dontk now if anything is binding or not :S cus aparently fuzzy said this is a brand new xmod never been driven :S

Do the gears catch together nicely ? Or is it kinda loose or too tight ? See if theres a good amount of resistance when turning the wheels, while holding one so the motor pinion turns. Also, a video would help immensely

kk when i spin my back wheels u can see the gears join together but for mine the big white gears seem not to go with the small black gear when i spin the wheels ... and when i spin the wheels its a bit scratchy and rough. For the front wheels my right turn seems to be weaker then my left turn.

There we go, you don't have proper gear mesh. Just change the spacer or pinion (black gear) accordingly. Also tighten the clear gear cover a little. Try that and see how it goes. Xmods never steered evenly on both sides, so I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it's really bad.

hey i dont know what i did but the white gear seems to go nice with the blakc gear now but sitll not working :S

Please don't triple post ! And yes I do, just give me yours and I'll add you now. You don't need to buy anything, unless your missing parts. It goes nicely... does it make a smooth sound ? Or still a little rough ?

ok guys i think i found the problem im not sure well i looked at my motor and there was a drip of solder on the chip of the motor im not sure if it is the problem well i got a picture of what it look like cojudlent get a camera!

Please give me some suggestions or help me out

I'm not sure if the solder is suppose to be there or not, but a simple way of checking if it works, change the motor for a working one. If the motor changed into it makes it works perfectly, then the motor was probably your problem.

dont have any other motors :S im gona check the main board and fuzzy told me to take out the motor and test it on a 9v

ok guys i took everything out of the rear end and everything seems to be smooth and fine well i was thinking maybe it could be the remote button the accelerate button could be broken :S? im not sure whats wrong but yeah i need some help here guys - ----- i tested the motor on a 9v and it worked fine and the steering is fine its just it wont run when i put the motor back in!!! -- WAHTS WRONG WITH MY XMOD ._." --- hey guys i think my rear end is fine because i put 9v to the wires and the motor spins the back wheeel nicely so yae its somthign else!

To be clear, is there no response from the motor both forward and reverse when in the car? You keep saying it won't accelerate but I'm not certain if that means it wont accelerate well or at all.

If you have NO throttle but you do have steering it could be a FET issue so let me know.

thhe fetts are ok the motor works nicely. When i say i cant accelerate it means i cant go foward or backwards..... btw i tested the motor on a 9v and it worked nice and my wheels spined nice. im just thinking it could be somthing to do with the main board

Hey guys i got told it could be my remote so i think im gonna open up my remote :S

Just make sure that when you decide to close it up that nothing is loose and that everything is still in place or else you could potentually break it even more.

im really fustrateing ! F*** man its the bloody remote i took it apart and fiddled it around then put it back and tested the car and it worked great but then when i put screws back on and stuff it stoped workig ffs ! now im trying to fix it again
