130 steering motor?
Hey, I have a spare board laying around and i wanted to pop that into another toy chassis, the problem is that it runs off a 130 motor to steer it and has no POT, how would i connect this to the board, a diagram would be nice. I know the board has 5 wires and i am pretty sure the 2 separate ones are for steering but i am not sure what will happen to the pot wires. The steering is a spring-return so the wheels will spring back pointing straight when not being used, some help would be nice.

Trying to run a 130 motor off the Xmods stock ESC would simply blow out the steering FETs. It would probably be better to somehow modify the RC chassis to accommodate a servo which would then be attached to the Xmods ESC.

You'd be better off useing xxx's tut on how to hook up a hs-55 to a evo board, I think stacking steering fets would be over kill, finding the correct fets, testing, the boards, buying the fets, etc.... IMO you would be better off buying a hs-55 for $10-$15

We still don't know what kind of board it is right?
If its a Mini-Z changing steering FETs are easy. They are not the same as the throttle FETs BUT they use the same STYLE of FETs. Meaning you can upgrade them with the same FETs used on throttle. So what kind of board is it? If it was specified let me know I didn't notice. |
