Default Quick question about a motor i might install...

if any of you remember the PN Racing Speedy BB 07 motor i've got a question for you then. im wondering if it's a good FET stock motor for my GEN1. also what would be a great gear combo for it? i have an uninstalled 9 tooth pinion but im not sure if i'd yield more torque or more top speed. i'd like to have a 50/50 split like the Stage 2 9 tooth motor. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Delayed response, but who cares. I'm not familiar with the pinion gear ratios, so if you remind me real quick I'll definitely remember. The Speedy BB 07 Motor is an excellent FET safe motor. Runs smooth, yields a little better than a stage 2, cleaner, and most of all looks sexy. I say low gear setting no matter what you're doing unless its sitting on a dyno.

im not really sure. but i would upgrade the FETs just in case. you dont necessarily have to stack them but an upgrade may be required. gen 1 electronics are not that good so if i were you i would upgrade them. i got an iwaver board for $22 shipped. i hear mini-z boards go for cheap on MZR. hope this helps. even a micro-t board will be a huge improvement.
