i sand it.
well, when it's abotu hald dry, bondo can be carved with an exacto to get a rough shape. then sandpaper takes care of the final shaping and smoothing. it's NEVER smooth when you first apply it.

update: reference color sprayed, more body filling needed to smooth it out
made add on bits like the splitter and side rockers painted wheels black as well Chassis:  Body:          comments or criticism welcome

Ya the left rear wheel arc seems like it could use some sanding where it attaches to the body, and some spots look a bit bumpy but the rear bumper is really nice good job

Rear arch and front grill area needs work.
Looks good though, really love the drawings.

a little update with a few design changes:
of course it's not evened out yet, i'm evening it out later today with more putty:    C&C appreciated and i know it's not straight in front, i'll be working on that. no worries
