very very nice .. i am honored to see some of the steps used to make this.. maybe hot rod fire designs along the sides will make it even more unique?

This picture best shows the "rust cover ups". I have the materials to do a second one, and that one might be a bit cleaner- but i just really like the grunge look.

No, they really don't...
Don't talk out your ***. Most are built with old motors pulled from another car. Buick Nailheads, Olds Rockets, Ford Flatheads, the SBC, various mopars on occasion, and even the Cadillac big blocks if their really wanting a death wish. But, the ones you see with heavily built motors are the small minority of the "rat-rods". Often times it's the case of run-what-you-find. If you want to see real examples, mosey on over to the HAMB, and start reading. Just don't call them rat rods.

Nice build....I definitely like the rust cover-ups! Authentic look.
What model is that? Is that a model A sedan, or a model B? I can't really tell without the front end on... |

How can it be a sleeper when you let it all hang out? It is about build cheap speed with what you got, and then the fads age and evolve. Look at the one Tex posted, it was as much about finding abstract things to use VS cheap parts.

Well, it's done...well done-ish. The front end still isn't lifting up, so I am going to work with motor/gearing so I can get that off the ground. I might also have to sort out some new slicks that are lighter and grippier.
For now, the pictures. The white-walls are alredy chipping off, so although it looks cool, it won't be permanent over time. I added the headlights, fuel cell, and frame rails to keep them in place. I extended the chassis as well, it is now the same wheelbase as the scion TC.

The slicks were carried by Xmodsinternational at one time. I also liked the prior to painted look, but I also wanted to keep this one very specific to it's origins so I decided to go white wall, which I am happy with. My next ratrod will be a little more liberal with styling choices.
