Don't know who you've been riding with but a stock Lancer EVO will smoke the tires with no problem. now if you are talking about a stock 100hp lancer then NO they won't spin them.
But we are talking 300 hp out of the box, but what do I know I just get to drive one at the race track once a month.

Do a burnout while standing in place? That's a job for an FF or FR. When a 4WD does a burnout, it tends to go in the direction that its pointed at.

We're talking about burnouts, not making a ton of smoke while moving.

I'm not 100% sure. Either AWD or 4WD... If the Lan Evo has a central diff that controls power front and rear, then its AWD. If its only got front diff and rear diff, then its 4WD, since the power is always on, and the only differential action is left and right wheels between the axles and not front and rear.
