aw man, i love the site of fresh mud on a truck, exspecily a white truck. Looks great so far. And im with everyone else, i love that dash.

Looks like it's running solid..

Any trickery with the engine still saying TURBO on top?

nope. I used the intake manifold off the turbo motor so I didn't have to mess with any of the sensors. the AFM and 02 tell the ECU that there isn't forced induction, and it only uses as much fuel as it needs. gets about 22mpg on the highway (as long as it isn't upwind....).


the "new" motor has about 205k miles on it. so it isn't perfect. needs a new timing chain fairly soon (kinda noisy....), but it pulls as strong as I'd expect, considering it's 110hp in a 3800lb rig with an auto trans and hydraulic tcase (soaks up almost as much power as the trans).

yea, got some hassling at the meet a few weeks ago when I popped the hood.


had a guy at the parts store spot the turbo badge on the tailgate and ask me about it last week too.
