no a stock xmod board can handle lithium voltage which is 7.2 volts, so 6 x1.2 volts = 7.2. so as long as your not running a ridiculous gear ratio you should be fine. but if your already having traction issues how is this going to help?

well i ask because im thinkin of doin that 6th cell loop where i can convert to 4 for drifting or 6 with sticky tires....i might want the 2 extra cells up front to get more control outa the frnt tires while drifting...?

Something that puts too much stress on the motor; high gearing and low gearing will do this. High gearing is a high spur with a high pinion and low gearing is a high spur with a low pinion. The added strain results in high heat which causes problems both physically in the motor in means of wear and tear and also in the electronics compartment due to the added heat and strain on the electronics that power your Xmod.
