Default Xmod Gears Fail

OK so i was driving my new xmod (370z) outside on SMOOTH asphalt and all of a sudden i hear a loud clack, then the motor made this weird sound like a wind up toy, I took it apart and discovered, somehow, my gears were the wrong ones, and it cause the whole part of the motor that holds the small gearing to bend and come off. I will provide pics ASAP but right now i just need suggestions of what to do..... I think i have a good idea of what to do to fix it, but I figured i needed some help before i dive into this quickly. Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, not sure what broke exactly without pix. what wrong gears did you have and what part exactly broke off. If it is part of the motor cradle then you would have to get a whole new rearend. ????

well what i did i just found a old stock motor i had laying around (from my salvage xmod) and just popped it in, works like a charm. HOwever im using a stage 2 gearing because i couldnt find the old stock gearing. I guess this is what i get for driving it outside on a rough surface....... but yeah i couldnt get a pic because, its a lost cause (plus i threw away the motor) but it wasnt the cradle that broke, just the rod thats connected to the motor that holds the small gearing. Well thanks for your help guys!

also, it's just "gear" not "gearing" sorry bout being a grammar nazi, but it was bugging the **** outta me while reading about it.
so your motor's output shaft kept getting warped in different directions from using the wrong gears, and so the shaft got fatigued and snapped. still, you could've still used the motor can afterwards even though the armature is broken. heck, you could have still used the motor can, the comm, the brushes, and the wires after the incedent. but you threw it away.

however, i'd like to stres that the motor shaft is about 2mm thick solid steel, which i highly doubt that it could be snapped by the force of the plastic gears and the 1mm shaft that the transfer gear is spinning around.

this story seems pretty fishy to me.

Thread is useless without pictures.

Saying will get pictures ASAP. Come on, get some up.

Here's a correction to your problem. Put new gears into chassis. Only help I can give you with the lack of visual items. I.E. Pictures/Video.

Now also, to protect yourself from this problem again take an outdoor broom sweep the area you want to drive in, then your gear problem is taken care of.

Blade.
