Default My Hummer Crawler in the making!

Here is my hummer that i am in the process of making in to a crawler. So far i got a lift kit and awd kit on the way and grab some lego tires for it. Plan on doing the servo mod for the motor and getting a new body. So here are some stock pics and more to come as the build goes on.

looks like a great start!

those tires probably are not the best for crawling and will require some serious modification to the chassis to make em fit. but to each their own. personally id find something more suitable.

Still looking for tires i have to drive to the next state to find a hobby shop that sells model cars so i can get a couple of bodys and have a better tire choice.

for the servos I recomend larger servo than the Ht 55 they burn out fast I know by experience, My bured in the first run! But grate project bro.

personally i would look into the hs81. i used that one on the first crawler i did. and i had no issues at all with it. the only reason i pulled it off was to put the d.i.y. drop in crawler motor into it. i have heard a lot of people say they have issues with the hs55. i have a ton of hours on my hs81 and no problems.

really nice start. if you have a lift kit coming your way then it will have bigger tires. however they are not amazingly big. i would say for a crawler a servo but if you want like a dirt worthy racer then a radline motor.

I did so work to the hummer today. Had a slow day in the wood shop so i worked on my xomds. I did the articulation mod and mounted my new tires but afther i got them on i dont like them so i will be looking for some new ones!! And i made a body lift but forgot to take pics so when i get back to work tomorrow i will get some pics and post them.








And the tires that will be coming off

LOL i love the edit quote... and then in your first line you still have xmods miss spelled lmao.

anyways id recommend the aoshima super swampers for crawler tires. lots of people say they like them, and i love mine.
