Default Making Small-Scale Hi-Lift Jacks

I don't believe I've posted this here yet...

This tutorial will show you how to make small scale Hi-Lift Jacks for your XMod truck, or car, I guess…lol…
Difficultly – 6/10. Working with small and fragile parts.

First, gather materials:
-Styrene - no less than 1/16 inch thin. Preferable thicker - makes it easier to work with.
-CA glue.
-Scissors.
-Small XMod hand drill, or 2mm drill bit. Don't use an electric drill - you need precision. [Not pictured]
-Red paint
-Black paint [Not pictured]

First, cut the main part of the jack. This is a rectangle 4½cm by ½cm thick.

Then, draw a line with pencil down the middle length-wise. This helps in the next step.

Drill 2mm holes every 3mm or so in the main part of the jack. Be very careful, because the styrene can actually rip.

Cut the lift part of the jack. This is cut from a 1cm by 1½cm rectangle.

Glue the lift part of the jack onto the main part of the jack with the CA glue.

Cut the base for the jack. This is a rectangle 1cm by 1½cm.

Glue the base onto the bottom of the jack.

To make the handle, I first glued 3 pieces of styrene together, and then cut the handle out. This is 3cm by 3mm.

Glue the handle onto the jack.

Shoot it with some red paint, detail the handle with black, and you are done!
Here’s how it looks on my truck [not the one I made here…]

Thanks for looking!

Haha that's awesome! That would look great on some of the scale rigs on here.
