Default which FETs?

i did a little search, but didnt come up with the answer i was looking for. so if this has already been asked, just link me and my appoligies.

Im wanting to upgrade the FET's on the rally car project, so i can run a bigger motor. now i know atommic mods sells 2 for like 7 bucks. but obviously thats a over priced mark up. im sure they probably bought them for about a buck.

So im curious what fets you guys are using, and where you buy. does radio shack have some that work great? or where else do you buy em, which ones do you use, etc...

im not looking for something crazy exspensive, and dont want to run some crazy huge motor. just a moddest achievement over a stage 2 RS motor.

thanks

How low wind of a motor are you shooting for, SPR? And what's the application?

holly crap, by the time you pay the 12 dollar shipping charges from that site its 2 dollars more than atomicmods!! and thats where atomic mods gets theirs to begin with. buying in bulk really pays off lol.

i found another site. same chips. all 4, shipped for like 12 bucks!

LOL.

yeah when i went to check out on the site you posted and saw the 12 dollar shipping with a 18 dollar total, i was like WTF!! thast more expensive than atomic mods, and its the exact same chip from the same company they use! So i searched around for a while, found a site, found the same ratings on the FETs and came up with those. should be virtually the same chip, at a much cheaper price. and actual shipping cost, not 12 freaking bucks!

hey, just checked those part #'s out and the current rating is only 2.5 amps. Way lower than the 10 amps that the irf7329 and irf9910's are rated. As for pricing I buy them from digikey 80 pcs. at a time and still my cost is $7.80 for the set of four before Ebay listing and sell fees, shipping, and Paypal fees. So at $12.95 plus $2.95 shipping you really can't beat my pricing for a set of 4.
