Default Another Christine clone - pics

Well, texan_idiot25 beat me to it, but I also had a Christine project in the works around the time he posted his. He got his thread up before I had pics to post, so I don't think I'll enter this one in the COTM unless it's cool with texan_idiot25.

Thanks again texan_idiot25 for the help explaining how to mount the wheels.

Here's my Christine clone. I have a few more touch-ups to make, and another polish, but she's fully operational and drives beautifully. Oh yeah, I still have to make up the license plates from the movie. Anyway, here are pics from start to finish:

Thanks guys. I still need to go back and do some polishing....I just took a look at the COTM thread and saw the paint on a couple of those cars---so shiny they look wet. I need to take more pics anyway; the car was filthy when I took the pics in that gym. The place is still under construction, and there was dry wall dust all over the floor. It made the car look like I'd been driving in road salt or something.

I still haven't gotten to the license plates, either. Will try to do that this afternoon.

Awsome. very nice car. I just got some of that Chrome foil that is very thin w/ a stick back. You rub it on the chrome details and use an exacto knife to cut around it. hat stuff really makes the chrome details stand out. You should give it a try. It should be at your local hobby shop and is only like 5$. Again hot ride man.

Thanks again

XXX-- I had given some thought to the chrome foil. Back when I bought the paint for this car, I actually passed up the foil because I wasn't sure how to work with it and didn't want to screw it up on this car. But maybe I'll go ahead and buy it...I can always practice on something else, first, right?

BTW, your COTM Corvette turned out awesome. What year is that body? 1963 or no?
