Default Front wheel shaft w/ stripped/bad thread?

So I couldn't help myself and opened up the GT-R I picked up. I was going to keep it NIB for later, but once I noticed my other two cars interfered with each others radios, I kind of had to do it.

Unfortunately, the front right wheel shaft seems to be either stripped, or threaded improperly. I actually ruined two plastic nuts trying to get them to stay. I actually was able to get an aluminum one to stay on, but I am pretty sure it's just "jammed" on there.

I know I can replace it, and actually have parts on the way, but is there any way to actually fix this? If not, no big deal since I had already ordered a set off front shafts and knuckles. I just hate having something be broken out of the box.

It's just the quality on them and the plastic nuts arent that great either. I doubt there is a way to fix it and if there was, I wouldn't bother since you already have parts on the way.
