Default My truck!

My Dodge Ram

I bought this truck around a month or so ago and already
have done a few things.

- Rear window tint (Limo black)
- New airfilter
- New Superbright Halogen lights
- Transmission serviced
- Engine serviced
- Audio system installed

Now, i got some prices to do some upgrading to this thing.
A few things i really want to do to her.

- 4" Lift $2000.00 + 600.00 labor
- 33" mudders
- Paintjob (maybe in the summer next year) $3400.00 Aprox.
- Rear euro lights 300.00
- Rear rollpan 150.00
- Front bush guard bumper

I sure love mah truck!!

what year is it, 1996 and later cars and trucks have a post catalyst monitoring O2 sensor, or two, one for each bank and cat. If you just remove the catalytic converter you will have a p1420 which means catalyst low efficiency. however later model converters are not as restrictive that they used to be in the old days, I doubt it will even make a notable difference in power. Also not to mention that the tail pipe emission with out it are bad for the environment. Keep in mind that I'm in the US and all cars after 1996 (OBD2) have this monitoring system.

Also if you plan on this being your daily driver I would take it easy on what your doing to it. For example 33" mudders will be super noisy on the highway and you speedo will be off, the exhaust you want will make a horrible hum at highway speeds too.

This is just something you consider before you mess up a perfectly good truck. Also stay away from car alarms and remote starts they can be very problem medic and most of the guys that install them at the audio place are hacks

well....

the truck came equipped with a Remote starter and the
cat convertor was actually cut open and material all removed
then patched back up. Sounds better already with the stock
muffler. However, the magnaflow is not how you say it is.
It first off sounds like a mean beast with it installed and is
reccomended for V6 models. If you convert it to dual exhaust
it will sound like ****. The convertor could not be removed
completely unless i bought a 200.00 split pipe as it has dual 02
sensors equipped. As for the mudders, you are right there!!
But i like the look of em big time. heheh!!

it will be awhile before the lift or tires are installed as im short
on funds this year. Maybe in the springtime...... we'll see?

Thats one heck of a sweet ride! Flat Black would look awsome on that truck as well as a roaring exhaust

the 12" subs are located right behind the fold-back seat.
It is tight back there...but it fits nice and snug. The
Cadence Z1000 Amp is located under the seat and
my 0guage wire runs under the carpet and into the
hood compartment. Panasonic deck is still in under
warranty (was cutting in and out on the faceplate)
and the Comp 6x9s are obvisouly in behind the door
panels as stockers were.

Im still debating on taking the chrome fender trim off
and also the dumbazz mud flaps. well see?
