I once had a Lancer with 12volts on stock fets!!!
the batteries were energizer rechargables!!! But it died because it was going so fast it hit a curb and it went to RC heaven |

No, you cannot. It would instantly fry your board.
FET stacks do not have anything to do with how much voltage you can put through your car. FETs have to do with the amount off amps that can pass through the terminals, to your motor. This does not mean you can pack 9V onto your car. And if you decided to do it with a 9V battery, you would get such inefficient run times. 9Vs are not meant for applications such as RC cars. They draw way to much power from the battery, and the 9V wouldn't be able to handle those current draws. It would be dead in a matter of five or less minutes. |

Rechargables go by intervals of 1.2V's. There is no way that you could have managed to shove 10 rechargable AAA batteries onto your Xmod, and still have driven it around. With the amount of weight from those batteries it would be literally pointless to have that many. Even if you did, you would have instantly fried your board. These boards are not meant to go over 8.4V's. If you can even manage to get 8.4V's onto your Xmod, and run it successfully, I want to know how you did it. And how exactly you wired everything. |

No, it will not work efficiently. If anything, get some extra rechargeable and just add a five/six/seven cell to it. Much quicker, easier, and more efficient.

There's really not contest if you know anything about batteries.
A 9V is pretty heavy, when Lithiums actually shave weight off of your chassis. So if you have the money, go with Lithiums. No contest there. |

this is what i did: 3 pack of AA's from a radio

Forget frying your board; let's just hope it doesn't explode.
Never mix battery types. They will always try to charge one another and either seize, or explode. For your own safety, remove those AA's before something goes terribly wrong. |

I don't know whats up with kids these days. I may be 14 but I sure know when something either is or looks stupid. and putting a radio battery on your xmod thats stupid.

my g35 had energizer lithiums in it once, it drove so fast that when it crashed into the curb, the whole front bumper tore off! this is not a lie, i was drag racing my friend for $15 and he slammed me while trying to be funny, luckily my other friend was there and forced him to give me the money be careful with lithiums and a stage 2!
