leme know
the bodykit was painted at the same time as the body itself.
after fitting, the parts were sanded and stuck to a clipboard with reverse rolled tape.
i shot the car and then the kit parts with the same paint and steps.

the black at the end is for details.
door handles/trim, and the grills.
i had to do this last because i wanted those parts to be flat black and if you clear over flats they turn gloss.

sorry i didnt see your post earlier,

bondo

any time,

i have a few projects in works right now and 3 that are still in the "spinning through my head" phase.
check the "bondo's projects" thread for the ones that are in works.

i also have an offroad f150 that im painting(should be done soon if i ever get off my lazy butt) and i just bought an h2 last night(think i might make a crawler).
then theres the "superbird" drag/wheel stander. this ones probably going to take a few months simply because of the expense.
i want to do a lexan or cf chassis, locked diff,130 motor,li-ion,alloy or cf ladder bars(wheelie bars),whoa nelly, and a "custom" suspension including some alloys.
i was even thinking about locking the steering for this one because all i want it to do is go straight.

thanks for askin,
cheers,
bondo

DRAG RACING!!!!!!!

if the steering is locked then the car goes straight, and if you have more than one chassis then you can use one of those other chassis for just messing around or for other races.

yuuup,
take your stock xmod and try to run it straight over a good distance.
after a bit it will start to turn slightly.
if you drag racing and you steering isnt locked you would moslt likely try to compensate for this and flip your car(if its fast enough)

there are a few variables in locking you steering.
first and foremost, make sure its completly straight.
second, buy the suspension upgrade and use the "toe in" tie rod.
third make sure youve got the aftermarket bearings as wheel slop will throw you off too.
after all of that, locking them is easy.
find a 1/16"(or 1. mm if your metric) and drill two holes through the tie rod and cover right below the two screws that hold the tie rod in place and use 2 extra screws that come with your suspension upgrade to hold everything straight, a bit of loctite on your screws and your set to race.
once you get it locked in a straight position you can even dissconnect your servo.
this isnt the only way to go about it but it works very well.

cheers,
bondo
