Looks great so far. Take your time on it, I see a lot of little spots that can be fixed prior to final paint.

Are you going to add the windows back to it?

If you want some info on the gunmetal Blitz R34, you can try emailing aznballa2k4 through our GSR website/forums. No guarantees he'll reply back though as he's quit the hobby for some time now.

I do like your 4-door conversion though. As soon as you get that thing all smoothed out and repainted, it will be sure to turn a lot of heads.

small edit:
got lazy to go out and purchase a dremel, so i manually started
sanding/smoothing out the body.
also, i decided to not keep it spoilerless, and found a 350z spoiler.
kinda works since its almost like Nomura's blitz (08 design)

This is incredible. Amazing build, I never subscribe to threads, ever, and I'm subscribing to this right now. Work on some of the little details, and you'll have an awesome body.

dont give up just because it's a bit frustrating. you want a masterpiece right? then you need to work for it.
but so far, it looks good. just continue your efforts and it should turn out great

UPDATE!!!!!
im excited to display my work SO FAR, though my painting is a little messed up. of course, i can always repaint.

So i decided to go all black...

...okay obviously not, since you can probably see masking tape. LOL.

Progress:

**** paint.

ill repaint. -_- cam gets all the flaws. GEEZ

I needa glue the spoiler together, as well as a broken sideskirt on the other side, and canards, AND THEN make the windows.

C&C welcome!

dont rush. it's ok to rush a tiny bit at the begining, but at the end, take your time. it looks like you didn't get the details like body-panel gap, and smoothing, and the masking job, and the slight orange peel. just take your time, and it'll be fine. be careful with the sandpaper too. you'll want to use fine grit paper like 400 when you do the final shaping at the end so you don't take off too much and to ensure its smooth.

also, you'll want to wipe it with a damp paper towel or something (not wet, only damp enough to make dust stick!) before you paint it to take all the sanding dust off of it, and then air-dry. (or use a swiffer duster, lol) afterwards, paint, and allow for the flash times between coats

Slow and steady.

I decided to put the Top Secret hood aside and put the stock black hood on from my other skyline.
As well, I added some detail to the headlights.
-> it looks pretty bad, but when the covers are on, you wont notice.
and, tada...canards are almost done.

still needs a repaint on the windows and roof.
(who would look at the detail when it'll be in motion 80% of the time :P. but still).

C&C welcome
