Default Sigh, going 02 now.

I feel utterly defeated w/ my 15 simply due to this chassis inability to squeeze 100% at all times. Corners must be slower and more gentle to keep it from rolling and no matter how much weight advantage I have, its just not enough.

That said, I have no choice now but to ditch my fave bodies for a better chassis. I've fit 86 on it so far, shaved the very bottom areas of battery trays (weight redux and venting) and otherwise outfitted it w/ all my 15 goodies.

Might try to homebrew a custom battery clip to shave 4mm off the width to fit boarderline 15 bodies better.

there comes a time when you have to decide between what you like and what is competitive with bodies. Are you about looks or racing? I ditched my favorite body in favor of a competitive race body. If your going to be competitive you'll have to do the same. An 86 body will hold you back.

I'll just go about doing this the same as I did with 15- start somewhere and gradually work my way up as I hit particular setups' limits. Off the bat I can say that since 02 is "limitless" the fine tuning range is probably far beyond that of a 15 and that may be enough of a margin for me.

86 did pretty good on my 15 and thats why I want to give it a shot first. Then FD, AP1, and so forth since they're still sports cars with pretty low top weight/area.

MR015 with the FD3S body is actually a reasonably potent combination. Add the 90mm MM motor mount and beg EMU for a couple tuning pointers and (assuming driver skill up to par -- EMU is quite something!) your 015 can be a player.

I've tried Cobra body, which is the ultimate choice as far as weight distribution goes, and the guy still flipped. My driving is quite up to par, but isnt it true that you simply cannot take 15 to the height of an 02?

the 15 will be beaten by the mr02 sooner or later as the mr02 is wider and lower giving it better center of gravity. the 015 is narrow and most times flips because of that. thats why when you have one of those you need to put + size wheels on it.

I think I'll go ahead and clash 300c w/ 02 for some radical results and see how this combo would perform.
