FET's ftw?
wow ok so ive got two gen ones, both are about two years old, running perfectly, so i take them from my moms house and to my dads? go to try one? nothing. go to try the other? nothing. open one up, white powder everywhere where the fets are, open up the other one, same thing!
so how does a gen one blow fets with only running s1 and a set of rechargeables for batteries? just cause its old?

it does not sound like the fet's went bad to me... it sounds like your batteries went bad and opened up releasing harmful battery acid into your car...

are your batteries old? cause if they are.. some old batteries leak which is bad for your board cause the leak is acidic.. it has happened to me in a flash light O.O didnt stop working but it make the metal all rusty

the white powered doesnt mean they blew... that just somthing to cathc moister i believe. if theres small black bubble on the fet then its blown. check the wires

probably not a capacitor, they look like batteries and act like them too, but they don't contain any acid...(as far as i know)......um, do your FETS look fine, once you removed the powder?

To this day, I still don't know. But try tearing down and cleaning your chassis several times for the hell of it. Might fix it, doubt it. You could try.
