Default Kustom Trailer(s)

Got some styrene in yesterday, and started to make a trailer out of it. (My first time working with styrene.)

Here's a little update, finished mask off the trialer floor, will be painted black and white, also thinking of added suspension on this trailer.

Here's a pic of the battery place.

So far, eventhing is mock up. Thank you for looking and more to come soon.

wow i feel like i hav eseen this before lol
thanks

for the suspension you could make 4 V's out of the styrene and mount them upside down over eack shock and then screw them on there

then put a piece going across the top for more support

I've tried to add a custom suspension for a couple trailors, just dont do it, its a wast of time. To have even a lil' suspension travel is just hard. First you will have a problem with the axle or wheel turning right or left (turning, when its suposed to be straight).

I like the layout of the trailor, it looks clean and large.

Looks really nice, especially since this is you first time working with styrene. One thing thought. I just don't see a Porsche cayenne pulling a trailer. lol. But it looks nice.

Thanks for all the cool comments guys!

Btw, I have gave up on the suspension idea, it's too hard to make it work. Here's some pics of how the axles are mount now.

This is just an idea and I have no clue if it would work....But you could get longer screws, and put springs between them.....
Like I said....I don't know if it would work...

From the wording of his first post, I believe this is his first trailer. Or perhaps just the fist using this material.

Sorry to be off-topic but where do you buy styrene? I would like to make a trailer like this myself. BTW your trailer looks real nice.

This is the second trailer I'm working on, and here's a pic of the first trailer that I made.

And I bought my styrene on ebay.

Might I ask what that is on the tongue of the trailer?

Looks like a battery, if so what is it powering?

I am not familiar with the trailer thing.

Yep, that's the batteries, use 2 AA.

If its what I think it is, the batteries are powering trailer lights.

Its for the LED's on the side of the trailor. I can see them. I laughed at your signature AJB, it was mean, but funny.

I'm going to try and get some styrene, and make it almost like yours, but I'll add suspension. I found a way people can easily use suspension, without there wheels "flopping" around. You just use gen.1 rear axle things, you know, the yellow and the black parts. I'll try to fix one up today, to give you an idea of what I'm saying, if you would like me to.

For the trailor batteries, why dont you just use a gen.1 battery case, and use the small 2 AAA ? There small, but almost like the AA, just smaller. The battery and batteries you have now are good and all, just to big to be hualling around.

Keep up the good work, hope it comes out nicely!
