have you tried batteries? ( nothing to do with the crash ) but that could be a reason
maybe the motor has been crushed - pushed harder into the body and the gears arent binding properly

I second this option...plus it give you a good chance to re-oil all those parts...
Any steering issues?

yea i would have to agree with everyone else, if there's no binding anywhere, or any place that would have more than normal friction.
i would start to look at more of an electrical issue, from what i read a board type object fell on ur car.... maybe you burned out a FET , i know i when i had a damaged FET on my gen 1 it was very slugish and had no top end. i got some mini-z fets for is and its was slightly better than normal... so that may be a problem

it wasn't the dog bones or any of those a screw on the bottom of the car had somehow hot loose and got stuck on something and i got a new motor and gears and now it just works fine. one more question what type of batteries i should get i have batteries but i only get 5 10 minutes out of them.
