Default tiny tamiyas?

i'm sure you've seen commercials for those little zip-zap sized buggies. well, i was looking at some at taget, and it had the tamiya logo. coincidence? no, it also said tamiya across the windsheild. there was no brand on the box, could it be an actual tamiya? they do make some models for younger kids, could these be their rc for younger kids? or could it simply be modeled off a tamiya?

I've got one. Not exactly the Tamiya one, but its the same architecture.

I hope you're talking about this one:

Aren't those called micro terrain titans? I think they mimic Tamiya Q-Steers.

I think that the parent company that brought the Air Hogs Havoc Helis brought the Takara Tomy/ Tamiya Q-Steer buggies over to the U.S., so they're essentially just a re-badged Q-Steer. I saw them on sale at Toys R Us a few months ago for $10.
