About gear settings
I have a question that I think a lot of you will know. Please don't laugh and make fun of me. I am sensitive and might cry, lol. J/K.
What does the different gear settings mean? Does more teeth = more top speed? Does less teeth = more torque? That's what I have thought all along, but I'm still fairly new to the mini-rc scene and haven't truly grasped the concept yet. |

When a smaller gear spins a bigger gear, that=torque.
When a bigger gear spins a smaller gear, that=speed. But you have to understand this, you don't always have it both ways. like in xmods for instance. the ratio will ALWAYS be: X:23, 24, or 25 X will ALWAYS be smaller than those gears as the biggest is 12 in an xmod. Later T.I.M

For MRs, yes, pinion determines torque 6T to mad top speed, but also lower battery life 12T. In AWD, its about the same with smaller motor and shaft gears > large with the same concept, just more tedious than MR.
