Default Hooray, new iPhone is here
Well tomorrow morning at about 6am my wife will be standing in line to replace this outdated, hand crank, maw bell, iPhone with the new iPhone 2.0. Most of my activity on here durring the day is done on the iPhone so the faster one will be saweeeet.

I haven't really looked into it that much.. What are the major changes from the first gen to the 2.0?

but weight.. it is about 2g heavier or what? from the last time i check the spec.. lol
cheaper... they force you to renew your contract and make you pay $30 a month for their 3g/internet service for your phone.

1 yes (although the bill goes up by 10 bucks)

3 not really, it's slightly fatter but slimmer on the edges to trick your eye.

It may be cheaper, but in the long run, it's not.

I read somewhere that they charge extra fees to use the new iPhone that the older one didn't have.

Then again, it's faster...

My old one was 20 a month for unlimited Internet and the new one is 30. My cell bill is already 170 a month so 10 bucks isnt really a substantial increase.

uhhhh, if everyone in your city tried to get gas at the same time there would be problems as well. When my wife got there at 5:30 there were people who had been there since the night before, she made it out with the last one (each store got 50) and like the article said it could not be activated in the store (big deal), she brought it home, I got home from work and activated it through itunes... not really a big problem.

I'm not bashing on it dude, i had sprint services aleady so i just upgraded to the instinct - lol. anyways, i still do love it alot

The iPhone 2.0 also has 3G, something the first one didn't have.

Actually, many phones already have 3G, especially Nokias. But AT&T never has any good Nokias...

In the US 3G is well behind compared to the rest of the world - in the UK I had a 3G phone since like 2000...... the new iPhone IMO is the best 3G out of the current line up and the others are going to have to work hard to put out something decent!

Its really hard to photograph, my "old" one had a brushed aluminum back and the new one is high gloss black (I like the aluminum look better). Syncing all the music right now as I use it as an ipod daily.
