Well, im a bit late. I have owned 2 nitro RC's and have turned back to electric RC's time and time again. Nitro is too dirty and heavy maintenance for me. Nitro is not for the lazy souls.

yes you can buy upgrades
the remote that comes with it is an ordanary AM 27mhz radio, an there is no point of upgrading the radio unless u have at least $100 to spend

upgrades are also not necesary, if ur just driving around for fun, then there is no point of upgrading

so the standard parts are strong enough to withstand a few nocks if any? i just dont want anything to break?
so if i was to get a new remote i would need a 27mhz one , correct? and can you tell me what a hand held transmitter is with the two sticks pleasse!!

thanks
michael

they are pretty strong
if you want a new remote, you buy the whole system, which comes with the remote and reciever, it can be any mhz or ghz u want..
there is
AM 27mhz
AM 75mhz
FM 75mhz
FM 27mhz
2.4 technology

if u want a new one, i would recomend 2.4 because it has almost no interference and a lot of range

a 2 stick transmitter is mostly used for helicopters and planes
it can be used with the cars, but i wouldnt recommend it, it gets pretty complicated
but for a crawler or scaler with extra stuff, the extra channels would be super helpful

the first would work if u buy that radio system, but ive never head of it, so i cant give feedback
you wont need an extra reciever, the radio already comes with one

the car uses 2 servos, one for steering and one for throttle

the "etc" channel is any other channel on the receiver, in ur case, it would be channel 3
