Read through AtomicMods' FAQ. Good info.

The energiezer lithiums are BS. I have no clue were the Lithium comes in, but lithiums are 3.7v's (unless they are a123's which aren't made this small). ALL RECHARGABLE Batteries (unless li-po/ion) are 1.2 VOLTS each. Period.

Crazy aus? You can't argue that ph2t isn't a crazy aus, but he is really nice and helpful when you need it..

a123 is MIT's venture into batteries. It's a full start up company, they make car batteris, electric car batteries, and they're working on variable voltage batteries for RC's. I think the make Li-Poly (or similar voltage) batteries. Read about it in RCCA and some other 1:1 Magazines.

Rechargables go by intervals of 1.2V's. There is no way that you could have managed to shove 10 rechargable AAA batteries onto your Xmod, and still have driven it around. With the amount of weight from those batteries it would be literally pointless to have that many. Even if you did, you would have instantly fried your board. These boards are not meant to go over 8.4V's. If you can even manage to get 8.4V's onto your Xmod, and run it successfully, I want to know how you did it. And how exactly you wired everything.

ACCUTALLY U CANT GO OVER 7.4V

It's 8.4v, atleast for the Gen1's. Not sure about the Evo's. Read the thread.

Gen1's can take a max of 8.4 volts.
Evo's can take 7.4 volts, some freak boards to 11.1 volts.

It's not like it matters, the Li-ions we use are 3.7 volts. The Rechargable batteries are 1.2 volts.

3.7volts and higher discharge rate for the weight of the cell. Less weight with more voltage is more speed. Logical to me.

And it's such a big speed boost and increase in run time over rechargables for the money. $15 for rechargeables and then $25 more for a good charger. Totals to $40. Lithiums and a charger are about $50.
