Notice that when playing now with 4x4 the "mother****er" did not turn...Now i understand why the last owner wanted to sell.
So:

-It was the pinion on the servo motor that was way lose. I could glue it... but i had a miniz servo motor which have triple the torque and a metal pinion so once opening it do it right the first time!

-Some second hand things always have an hidden "mouse" somewhere!! It's up to the new owner check it, and fix it! Otherwise sell it! lol

-Ever wanted to see the insides of a brushless miniz motor?

-The 2 photos, show how's the wiring!

-In here i removed the on/off switch (a classical )

-Rewiring! Sweet!

Done for now...

Need some testing and software magic!

What i noticed is that motor & board are very software tweak depended, and i need to play & tweak a little of it to understand and to make it to my like... since how it cames it't extremelly smooth and with an extreme "clutch" feeling. lol

Very cool man. Glad to see you're still messing around with them. I have a few projects that I never got around to doing, that one still want to do.
How much tweaking did it take to get the motor where you wanted it?

Yah, once in a while i take the dust out of them in the garage track!

I am not sure what you asked by this:
How much tweaking did it take to get the motor where you wanted it?

It was just bought the brushless motor with that 130 can cover...and screwed like any Miniz/xmod motor. Perfect fit no mods.
In the software it need to be pushed, cause it's very calm in stock form....if i remember right!

If that's not what you are asking... ask again.
When got the time will read it and figure it out!

Thanks!
Such a shame xmods are not produced anymore. Only thing they had to do was keeping them like the older generations with some cheap 2.4ghz electrics to keep them updated....but the world changed. Licence's of real cars got expensive off the 1:1 world economy since past 2005 and kids today have the magic finger of tablet's, and don't care for screw drivers anymore

If they are still making them just like the Gen1 or Evo cars/trucks i still was buying them "cheap" to mod to be just like a good RC close to Miniz's!!... now only on ebay and it's collectors price... no way for me! :P

Also the aftermarket company's mostly GPM forgot xmods..since they were not produced anymore!

when you said that, was wondering how much tweaking it took to get it where you were happy with it.

Yeah its sad that they changed them so much that you lost the whole cencept behind what they were, customizable cars. Body kits etc. they got to where you could still do thing with them, add 4wd, wheels etc, but in the end, it still looked like every other car unless you painted or modified the bodies yourself.
