Default body repair on a random rc

I'm not sure this is the right place but, how can I fix a large rc car with a plastic body that's cracked on the underside in multiple places? Would I just melt it together or what?

You talking about a Lexan body right?

How bad are the cracks? You could probably just use a two part epoxy to seal them up.... but I want repaint it first and then apply.

Try using a Styrene welder like this one:

It may damage some paint, but it can chemically "melt" the plastic and let it set so it reforms like new

that could come in handy in alot of places on this thing, how fine is it? as in, if i tried to mold a door handle back together (it snapped in half) would it be able to do that without wrecking it? the handle is about a thumbs width long, and apout 3mm wide.

It might damage the paint, and because it "melts" the plastic, it'll sort of make the plastic ooze out of the joint that you "weld" together.

I dunno :/ I've only done repairs to items that can't really be seen such as pieces of styrene (sanding will fix the ooze) and a rear clip.

well for lexan bodies, it would be zip-ties as your temporary fix, as for ahrd bodies, putty would be ur answer answer
