Abomination: Project Dragster
Well, here is something I've had banging around in my head for some time (When Tony donated the body several months ago), so with my tax return I can afford to get some of the final pieces to get the ball rolling, here is my dragster project: Abomination.
The photos are taken by camera phone....so not of the highest quality...forgive me, but I wanted step by step on the bodywork. It still has a ways to go, I am going to tone down the rust a bit more and add more of the "original colors" to the body panels, I need to pick up some more matte paint for that. The chassis is a bit of a secret till it's finished- it will be of similar design to the X-rod, but running at 7.2V.... Comments, and suggestions Welcome.

Thank you, it still has a ways to go. I've got the rust down, now I need to get the faded paint up to par.... It's kind of a new concept so there aren't a lot of tuts out there on how to make a car look old and ragged.

Like this: Apparantly I did a good job at convincing rust.

I've got two more similar builds....I might have to do a step by step tutorial. It's actually quite easy and if I didn't have to layer it twice (to thin the first time) it would have been a quick paintjob.
Still weathering the motor, so no pics right now. Thanks.

UPDATE TIME
Got the interior done. Installed: Chassis mock: With blower taped in: I am waiting until everything else is done for the doorhandles...those won't be the final wheels, I have three options I am working with, all custom and it will be about which one fits the best. That's all for now. Questions and comments welcome.

Paint the bucket of one of the headlights grey or black, to get that blown sealed beam look.
Sick attention to detail, it really does look like beaten and bruised metal.
