Default Help Me Pick My New Car!

OK so this is the story so far! I found the car that I wanted and this was it:

Its a 2007 Honda Civic SI Coupe, lovely car with the all extras and pretty fast! So I went to the dealership last night to trade in my top of the range 05 Ford Explorer XLT for it only to find that I couldn't fit comfortably into the car! Being 6"5' I felt a little squashed!

So I had to let this one go but I am still on the look out for a replacement car, my criteria is:

* Newish car, no older than a 2003
* Must be a car bored of SUV's!
* Must be sporty looking
* Can be American / Jap / European
* Must be practical - I do a lot of driving for work so no custom hot rods!
* Must be fast!!

What I am looking at so far is as follows:

04 - 05 Pontiac GTO
03 - 05 Mitsubishi Evo
05 Subaru Impreza
04 - 05 Accura TL
05 Honda Accord

The TL is currently top of my list mainly because none of the local dealerships have a GTO or Evo on the lot!

So I figured I would throw it out to the board and see what cars people could suggest.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

The Accord is the same as the TL just a slight difference in cost I thing I would rather spend a little extra and get that as its not so much as an old mans car as the Accord.

If I can find an Evo I wll test drive it and see what I think! It will be a year or to old so most likely not an MR but oh well!

Same for the Impreza the one I've seen so far wasn't and STI so I wasn't really interested.

I'll go scouting again tomorrow and see if anything new has turned up! I'm also going to try and take a look at a new GT Mustang.

your best bet would be the TL, accord coupe, if they still make them, But I would try an SVT Focus or Saleen N2O Focus or one of the new ones with the sport package, it looks about like an evo 8 if you get the non hatchback model.

I can't afford a brand new Evo so its going to have to be a few years old....
Not a big 300C fan - would rather just get a Hemi Charger
Still need to test drive an Impreza but the only one I can find is basically stock!

This is the TL I am currently looking at:

Comes with the following:

Bodystyle: 3.2 Sedan 4D
Engine: V6 3.2 Liter VTEC
Transmission: Automatic
Ext. Color: Silver
Int. Color: Gray

Value Added Options

Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Telescoping Wheel
Cruise Control
Am/Fm Stereo
Cassette
Multi Compact Disc
Premium Sound
Dual Front Air Bags
Front Side Air Bags
Abs (4-Wheel)
Traction Control
Leather
Dual Power Seats
Moon Roof
Rear Spoiler
Alloy Wheels

I really wanted a manual so getting this would mean I have to compromise.

SuperShelby posted the type-s which is a sweet but expensive car! My budget limit is about $25K as I don't want my monthly payments to be any higher than what I pay currently pay for my truck.
