hey man i picked up some parts from scointc333 and he gave me some nice tires, they make great tires with some minor dremel work, i got them with the centers cut out, then i took the tires of and cut the ribs inder the rubber on each one and they make awesome tires for crawling.. very soft and lots of grip!!

i searched around and these are what they came off, they make a couple different kinds, some about $2

Thanks alot dude. Are you gonna make a crawler. could you post pix of them on your Xmod, or next to it for comparison. I might just try them out. I did get some Aoshima Super Swampers from SPR but I still would like some other different tires to try out.

ye im makin a crawler, all i have now is a rollin chassis, and the wheels arent finished yet, but i snapped a few pics for you to kinda let you know the size.. i took the shocks and everything off my chassis as well so its lower than it would be, and i also didnt have the tires bolted on yet, the way im thinkin of doing it im gunna have to do the wide axel upgrade...

anyways ill have the pics up in a sec.

how the xmod wheels fit in the wheel, the inside ribs were cut from sciontc333 and he had the slammed rims in model tires, pretty good idea so im gunna use it also. (they fit perfect in the back so it wont be wobbly)



the ribs on the wheel that need to be cut to make the tire nice and soft




and an angle view just for S's and G's





p.s.

im not a slob, my carpets dirty cuz my son hasnt learned the concept of eating dinner at his table yet cuz he see's daddy eating on the couch so he wants to LMAO

edit~ well i didnt wana dp so here is a couple more photo's of the tires im gunna be using, in comparison to a fully built rollin chasis on stock suspension and slammed rims

no way! nw~hummer i have those same exact tires!! exept i found it easier to completely rip and scrap the wheels they came with. i used some 2/3 pvc that i had left over from my xmod track, and put them in and a offroad kit wheel in the pvc pipe and, tada. and i don't need the wide axle upgrade to use a 180 motor. now my xtruck with those tires loves the snow! and with the 180 motor it's unstoppable!

well a little update. the jeep is now called DORK JEEP. I got my swampers and they don't look right because, well....... you can see. I gotta work it out and see what is gonna look good. MAN i wish the iroks were as soft as the swampers cuz they looked tight.

man i think you should lower the body a little or get some bigger tires but other than that i think it look great but if you do want the irocks you can just put some of the big wide rubber bands on the tire so that you can get grip that is what i did when i had them on mine and it work you can just put like 2 on each wheel and to tell you the true it has better tracksion than the ss do

I don't really want to lower the body. I am hpoing to find some tires that are hollow rubber like the SS but the same scale as the iroks. Im still looking.

keep in mind wheels with a larger diameter result in less torque...although you prabably have plenty to spare...
