Are you talking about the aoshimas or the big tires?
This isn't necessarily going to be scale, more of just a crawler I can play with when I can't use my MRC.

Hey guys, got some updates. Finished making the body and covered up the copper with black pieces of the wire insulation. There are a few white pieces too.

I think I'm just going to spray the whole thing flat black. I'm going to try and find some plastic to make some body panels.

Don't worry it will get cleaned up and look nice with panels on. I thought I did pretty good for my first time ever trying anything like this. I didn't even measure the parts so some stuff isn't exact, but it's close enough for me.

More work done. Paint tomorrow. Test fit looks good. Just need bigger tires.

You guys think I need to put plastic on the sides? I"m thinking I do.

It's looking RAD man; awesome roll-cage by the way.

I'd suggest to use styrene for the top/hood/side panels (if you go all in for them) I think old phone cards, gift cards, whatever of that sort would work great and you can always hook it up with zip ties to the roll-cage structure.

side panels GOTTA be thrown in the mix man , it would look real cool and also gives you some clean canvas for some custom painting or graphics depending whats your aim; you know.

any ideas on what you gonna do to it besides getting the cage blacked out?

are you planning on adding some lighting to those headlamp cups? that would be totally sick.

great job!

Well got it painted. Flat black will stick for the time being. Probably going to add a rear panel so it's not so open and make some mounting points for the tail lights. Also thinking about doing a light bar on top, but I think that would suck too much power away.

Don't worry, I know what you are all thinking... the tires are too small. Well... those are on the way.

I just hope I can make them work... ISOL is the hint.

Ouuu, something different, looks like something that'll be hella fun to drive around too, off roading. I've been wanting to drive around those constructino site areas with the hills of dirt and sand. LOL. What else is going to be added on?

I don't know what else I'll add on. It needs more power and to be fine tuned. Needs better steering too. It needs more weight up front really. If climbing a steep hill it will flip over so fast. Even though it's 4wd, those rear wheels got some torque.

I think he means a blueprint on how the body goes together or a photo that you look at or something, that you are building this from.... but that's what I think....

Anyhow, looks good! Thinking about cleaning those welding lines up by chance?

Tom.

I didn't use any plans or anything for the body. Just kind of a touch and go thing. I kind of imaged it in my head and did it.

I might try cleaning up the solder spots... but really some spots didn't hold together all too well. I might just remake the body.

Practice makes perfect. Just go over the weak spots with some metal instead, like solder the metal on of course, but it should give it some strength for sure!

Tom.

I might just build a whole new body. Going to have to wait a while though. I don't have much time lately.
