Because your asking questions to a part that you know nothing about. I threw in lights, and saw the low beams don't work. 1st thing that causes that is typically the headlight switch. I said "**** it, it's too dark" and went inside. I'll test things when it's not pitch black out.

Need I say more? And watch your mouth or you'll be eating soapy infraction points.

I wasn't cursing and how do you know I don't know anything about that particular part. You don't know my mechanical background and I'm only asking so I can learn better. That's why I ask the questions

I'm sorry to sound like a jerk but that a how I learn. I didn't relize that you didn't want simple questions to be asked

I know you don't know how my 1969 headlight switch works. So, back off it. Haven't had time to check it out..

From a few days ago:

Got some awesome things left at my front door today:

At first when I saw the brown box, with a big CPP (Classic Performance Parts, where the rotors I bought come from) logo on the side, I was excited that it was my rotors! That the CST10 would be on the road before the end of the break. Rip the box open, and it's my springs and a turnsignal lense I ordered from Classic Parts, in the CPP box. Why? Classic parts sells the CPP springs and ships them in a CPP box. Deception!

But, here are my new headlights:

They aren't normal old school sealed beams despite the looks. Their really tricky. Their made to use modern halogen bulbs, while keeping the classic looks. And also have a small running light too:

Eventually I may toss a red or orange filter on the bulb and have some trick looking lights while cruising, EVIL EYES

PC'd the headlight bezels black like stock:

And in they went!

Than off goes the 5 inch drop springs, and in goes the 3 inch drop springs:

Nice stance, a slight rake. The rear will sit a tad bit lower once the springs settle in, but other than that, it's **** close to the road!

Fixed all the exterior light problems, bunch of bad grounds and bad connectors.

And muh rotors are in.

Ah, didn't mean to repost the headlight stuff, but don't think I posed it with the new springs.

I'll get pics this weekend, it's junkyard hunting this satruday for spindles.

Opinions? Found these in six lug 16 x 8, and if they have the back spacing I need I'll see if Tire and Wheel connection has any in stock and trade..

They look better than what you currently have, in my opinion.

I dig them quite a bit, much more of an oldschool look to them. Depending on back spacing it may still need spacers, but if I can get them traded, it's all good.

those rims would look great on it, now you just have to hope they fit right. make sure the lug spacing is right as well before you buy them, just because they're 6 lug doesn't mean they will fit. those would be awesome though.

are you planning on re-doing the black in the grille? you can see in this pic that its a little rough and could use a touch up.

i know its nothing major, but i just thought i'd ask

Noturday- their 6 on 5.5, just like mine. Found them by finding rims that fit the late model 6 lug GM trucks. I'll measure up back spacing this weekend, but the 3.5in back space aught to fit. I'm pretty sure the Niche wheels are 4.5 in BS.

Eventually when I pop the grille off to put a grille insert back in I'll mask it off and paint, or just buy a whole new grille as that one is beat to hell lol

Forgot to mention I buffed and waxed the whole truck last sunday. Though it was dark when I finished, so no good pics til saturday.. Also installed some LED strips into the tail lights for some extra STOP attention. Their LED mirror turn signal boards from some GM trucks, arranged in an X because I couldn't think of a much better way to arrange them

You can easily see the difference between the two sides. And that was just with glaze, wax wasn't even on yet

I have a video uploading, but the LEDs make a huge difference in how fast they light up and brightness. Just wired them into the high-brightness wiring so they only come on with the turn signals and brake lights.

edit:

That's with the headlights on and flasher going, so the stock bulb doesn't go all the way off, but the difference is obvious.

If you look close enough in this picture, or at least look a certain way, it looks like either a cross-walk man or the bathroom symbol for woman.

Lights look cool.

Safety/Getting noticed > looks. Plus their on with double stick tape, if all else fails it can be moved later.

Holy balls these rotors are thick and heavy and big! 12" rotors, 1-1/4 in thick! Weigh around 15 lbs each!

Grabbed seat belts out of an S10, and the 73-87 HD 1/2 ton spindles and calipers. Got a Vacuum tank, and an underhood light as well.

Charlies is a BA yard, the back lot has several mid 50s Devilles and a 58 Eldo, 4 studabaker silver hawks, a trio of medium duty chevy haulers, and a crap load of El Caminos.

69 'Burb

Custom wooden rear bumper.

Finally ripped out all the ghetto wired sound system and will start next weekend on wiring the new headunit in.

Also started on some antithefty tricks, as in using the face of the old tape deck to put in place of the headunit face plate to keep the ****ty tape deck look, instead of leaving an obvious headunit in place:
