ok, so not many people here care about the racing aspect as much.

and others do, but just cant go off buying a mini-z. i know i don't have 130 bucks lying around.
i have 65 bucks lying around. that's just enough for an xmod and some materials to mod with.
i never have more than that amount available to me, and often i have much less available to me...like 0 dollars available for xmods. and since i'm still a minor, i'm not going to be able to buy a mini-z without my parents going 200% volcano since i already have used so much already

I consider myself a pretty serious modder and I love the body kits. I don't understand how a solid shell makes for better modding. To each his own, but without ALL the upgrades and options such as body kits (THAT RADIOSHACK STOPPED PROVIDING) then the Xmod is just another cheap RC. "I still love them" and modding (Can't wait to get back home and start again) but eliminating the body kits and other hop-ups is such a dissapointment.

Lets see, on all of my bodies I only use the bodykits on the F150s, and my Lancer Evo, and a '65 Mustang that I have has a bodykit, but i ordered it that way. I got into this hobby late, so I really don't understand what the big deal is about the bodykits. Although I can try and understand, I will never fully understand. I try to personalize them in a different way. With my GTR I put some felt on the roof so it now looks like a sloppy softtop. I also add license plates. Radioshack or Nissan/Corvette/Audi don't want their cars to be dismantled, therefore no bodykits on the Street series except the pre-existing '65 Mustang.

What a perfect excuse to use it as a beater....lol.

I think this may be one of their better bodies, the wheels look quite nice. Some may not like the style, but what should really be examined is quality...because everyone likes that.

no bodykits imo is fine by me. it means that if you see a kitted street xmod, its that much more special. making it more difficult or whatever to mod is all just another challenge to me. that's just me, but i'm sure there are others who share the same idea.

Basically, if the base package has less substance, there's more room for improvement, lol....

I think RS did a decent job with the 370 though, you can always make subtle lip kits for the car and the proportions don't look too altered (in good lighting). Now if only I can convince myself to tolerate the geartrain whine in the Evo chassis, before even considering buying one.

Thats exactly why I stopped buying these Xmods because of the drivetrain and obnoxious noises it makes. I picked this 370z starter kit up forgetting how much noise they make and unprecise they are. I added the AWD kit and I even forgot about the shaft size. And when I added the correct shaft it sounds so terrible and when you roll with the car off with the AWD kit in I cringe everytime I hear the noises.

I remember I had a whole lot of fun with them when I was younger but since I have came across hobby grade cars such as the Mini Z. You will not get me to stray from them.

yes we all know already xmodsupra01.

i like the newer 1-piece design because there's less manufacturing error. with the swapping bodykits stuff, there used to be fitment errors with 1 out of every few xmods i saw. with 1-piece bodies, the molding is more consistent so you dont get a whacked up looking car. and the screw posts got in the way of my R34's steering
