Omg. So it is true. It is a Zip Zaps innovation. The toys we love are produced by a company who makes mini-me RC cars...

So that would explain why the light connections are the same for each car...

they will. innovation loosely means improved. xmods were/are/always will be improved versions of zip zaps, which are their ancestors.

I though xmods had something to do with old HPI designs that were scrapped form the company. I knew RS had both zip zaps and xmods, but i had no idea the two were associated in any other way...

Plumzz calm down...

I'm interested to see what their going to release. I like Sweed would like to see some older smaller Honda cars, but thats probably not going to happen.

I thought that after the Transformers line, they were going to die out and come back out with the Propulse or some other r/c of that scale.

I think there should be 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Though that probably won't happen either.

Can you copy that e-mail in here to verify its legitimacy?

I would like to see that email too. Make sure your not lying. Maybe, maybe not. Just checking.

I emailed them too, to see if there is anything else besides bodies or cars.

Didn't RatShack announce the Bumblebee and the Barricade Xmods last year during the July 4th week? Or was that the Titan and tC? I forget..

I hope the quality of the bodies/chassis is up to par with the "better" Xmods. The last few productions of the Bumblebee, Barricade, Titan and tC have been total crap in terms of quality and looks (massive wheel wells, cheap plastic that cracks, etc..).

I guess all there really is to do is wait and see...

+1 except that the only thing better on the transformers was the dogbones. They improved the dogbones while making everything else worse.

no reply form radioshack. I just emailed them like 10 minutes ago too.

I think the wheel wells is to prevent interior clipping when using the lowering upgrades. You know as well as I how many new members will get on the forums with their cars trying to figure out why the steering isn't working right after lowering them. The bigger wells are logical in making them more comparable with the upgrades, but it does ruin the look of them.

I'll be honest, I never lowered any of my Xmods, so I never encountered that problem. However, that does make sense and I can understand why they did that. Too bad it has to take away from the looks of the over-all body.

No doubt, and I truly hope they don't add more features to the new ones that make them easier to use and upgrade. It really takes away from the overall look of the car.

It also takes away from the purpose of this hobby. Watching members ideas and projects flourish with one off bits and pieces is what makes things different and keeps things alive on this forum.

Agreed it just wouldn't be as fun to play with the cars if the new ones are easier to use and install the parts. I would like it to stay the same difficulty and if they do add new features i think working blinkers would be cool. But those would probably have alot of problems after a while. If those are the cars they come out with i would really like to see that mustang be a fox body maybe with a saleen boykit aswell.
