Certainly seems to have a lot of suspension travel judging by how the axles droop so far to the floor on that plastic box. Hopefully there's enough torque for the amount of speed it seems to have.

Servo jittery or is that the way you were turning the wheel?

Given there is no antenna, bet it's just interference.

it's pretty good un travel suspension indeed, as for the steering - I was doing with 1 hand so that's why it was going like that.

I fixed the speed issue already by taking out the liths and putting in back the 4.8V (4 AAA's) pack - it runs at a decent speed now. I'll get a vid as soon as it drys up over here.

I finally got the toolbox complete and then I find out thatI have no micro plastic hinges left (bummer ), so I just need to purchase a pack of those to fully complete it. If you notice the liths are no longer there - it's because it was just too much for it - the 4.8v pack reduced the speed alot and now it's running just the way I want it too run.

Here's a few pics of it @ 95% completed (still have minor little touch-ups and the hinge thing to do) :

I'll try to get a video of it in action soon - the weather over here in CA has been pretty wacky lately, everything is all wet and it keeps raining every minute too.

Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more to come.

looks great man, i didnt even think about the Liths making it that fast, thats good that its running how you want it now tho, and the toolbox looks perfect. this is one amazing r/c truck. i love how everything is hidden, and the engine hides most of the board, its great man.

Thanks bro! It's not easy trying to hide all those stuff that doesn't belong under the body but with a little planning, time and patience (and the right tools is a major thing also ) I was able topull it off nicely imo.

I tested it alittle and it's runs great - i'm not too pleased with the rear suspension - it's too "bouncy". I will probably redo the entire rear set-up but I have to go back to drawing board for that one before I touch it .

For reals, that's pimp right there, fast and small...and cool too!
You pretty much put some of the mst creative and custom xmod/ r/c things out there...

Thanks for the tip bro! I'll stick with the pack I got for now - it fits in right with the box perfectly.
I forgot that this would qualify for a "Hybrid-Xmod" custom truck now since i'm using Xmods' electronics .

Edit: Thanks also Supra!

I had a few other pics but I compiled them in a short remix version for you guys - check it out :

yo try to put weight on the front and rear axles so it can flex over the rocks better.

if you were to keep the liths in you could've added a mini pot(entiameter), which are very small, roughly .5cm x 1cm x 1cm, wire it dircectly infront of the motor (series), so can good jumps for fun, or slow speed torqu for crawling,

anyway glad to see another project from you this one might just be better than your gmc crewcab

nice ford man, You should add some shock absorbers in the rear, instead of just springs.

I'm already working on a new set-up for the rear - the springs are too bouncy so i'll replace them with some similar to the front ones then later i'll order some oil shocks (either micro-t's or mini-z's) so that it functions more smoothly. Overall it works pretty well on the rocky concrete terrain so i'll find out later how it runs in the mud, and water .
