Donzii, no problem to help out, as I also have an AX-10, but it is scaled out with a JK body. Are you running weights on the wheels?

Not currently. With that heavy as a brick NiMH pack sitting over the front axle, I haven't really found I need added weight within the wheels. However, if and when I switch over to LiPo or a lighter NiMH pack, I'll probably add some weight.

Do you run weight in yours? If so, how much?

its ok just a noob to the 1/10th( i think the scale of the ax10) world just asking some questions, cause i feel like getting one for christmas.

Haha, I don't run weights on the scaler. Pretty good as it is. Have you seen it?

Nice Axial, Kyle!

For some of you guys looking to get into the crawler scene, I'd check out the Losi Mini Rock Crawler. It comes RTR at around 240. I've read a ton of great feedback for this 1:18 crawler, and also talked to the local guys at CKRC [www.ckrccrawlers.com.] Some even say it's as capable of the AX10.

Sorry to drag this a little off-topic, but I'd thought I'd recommend the Losi for crawler-interested people.

Just a little photo update. She's been through a lot lately mudding and just plain old bashing. One of these days I'm going to get my butt into gear and actually make that chassis I want, but, in the mean time, stock gets me places others can't go!

Cheers,
Kyle.

HiTech HS645MG, I think. It's up north, and I can't exactly remember... I love the servo. Tons and tons of power and torque. Speed is lacking, but, meh, it gets the job done and doesn't cost $100...

Haha. Yupp. Good ol' Futabas!

Just a few short clips. Didn't make it over the rocks in the last clip.. Made it over several times when the camera was off, though.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Nice Donzii! The body is still clear huh? I was gonna get an AX10 RTC but ended up with a 1/16 E-Revo VXL instead the RTC is more of a comp platform which is what I'm looking for. Not the RTR but the RTC.

Still a pile of plastic.. Grab a cheap kit and build it. You learn more about your RC and you get more for you money. I can't stand the flimsy plastic on the RTR or the RTC.

Can't blame you for going with the E-Revo, though. Those things look like a blast!

Yeah, body is still clear.. The body itself is downright ugly, so why waste paint on it? I'll buy a shelf queen sooner or later for pictures.

How dare you donzii, Bettys are not ugly! Ha. But why aren't you active on rccrawler? And what are your plans for batteries? You'd be better off without that stick pack.

If we're talking about Betty's as in the body then, yes, they are very ugly. I would much rather have a Bronco, Ram, Lightning or a F100. One of those four will be my shelf queen body.

I'm more of a lurker on RCC than an active posted. Still trying to get used to the ropes and understand the forum rather than jump right in. Makes things easier. Plus, no need to even make a thread to ask questions, most of them are easily found and answered with a quick search. Never seen so much information!

I plan on someday going with a 6-cell saddle pack across the front axle. Probably a CheapBatteryPack.com 1500mAh 2/3A NiMH. Might even go with a 2S LiPo someday, but I like my NiMH for now.

The stick pack works for my use. It's bulky, I admit, but sometimes that helps. At least from my experience. One of these days, though, I want to buy a new pack.

If you were able to remotely unlock the differential in the last part of the video, you wouldn't have rolled. One of the tires would have acted like a rudder to hold you in place, instead of both tires spinning and slipping downhill (your tire would have stayed on the step). This is why a selectable locker is so awesome. Allows you to lock when you need it, and leave it unlocked for stability when side hilling.

Uhm.. thanks?

I've made it over numerous times before, but if you have ever tried to capture anything on film, you should know it always goes exactly the opposite way of how you planned it.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Just giving you a tip. That's why I'm wanting a venom creeper over anything else, and that's why I don't have anything right now.

We (my family and I) just spent this past weekend building a rock garden to surround the trees used as camouflage for the bland garage. This is the fourth time the rocks have been moved about the property, and hopefully they will finally rest there.. giving me a third rock crawling spot on the property! It may not be extremely large, but there are plenty of lines I can forge through all of the beautiful rocks.

Once all is said and done this will have a few more colorful plants throughout given me a beautiful backdrop to the many videos to come. This is a preview and I'll be sure to have more later on!

No music. Need to buy a video converter (shoots in .MOV, which WMM does not work with).

Cheers,
Kyle.
