Mitsu Pajero.

Still, the aptly named Honcho is the 4x4 master race you're looking for;

Nope, not a LC80. In fact, it's not a Toyota.

Lights really set it off. I ended up getting the Axial light kit but did debate the 3Racing set. Have not installed the turn signals since I was unsure where to put the rear ones but I like where you installed them so I think I may put mine there as well.

Update: So I've been driving my SCX10 in the water/mud a lot recently...

And I think that it is time to take it apart and re-build it. So I've seen that people like to use marine grease inside the axles and tranny to prevent metal parts from rusting. Unfortunately, I couldn't find marine grease locally. Instead, I've picked up a Castrol multi-purpose chassis grease. I read through the label from the back, sounds similar to the purpose of the marine grease. So I decided to give it a try.

I've took the entire tranny and axles apart for clean up and re-lube with the Castrol grease.

Here are some before and after compression pics.

When I took the front axle apart, it was a lot worst than what the rear axle looks like.

Rusty bearings.

So I took some sandpapers and cleaned up the rust as much as I can.

The bearings are looking like new again.

Also rebuild the motor.

After all the cleaning, it's like a new SCX10 again.

Only one question.. how much do you charge per vehicle for cleaning and detailing?

Looks fantastic. As always.

Cheers,
Kyle

Thanks, Kyle! It will depends on which vehicle. Pricing range will be between $10-$20 plus return shipping.

I bought my motor and ESC as a combo. It let you pick 35T/45T/55T, I picked 45T, it's a nice motor, very easy to maintenance. The motor have a lot of torque, but not too much speed, it's a slow walking pace. I'm looking to order the Cobalt Puller 7T motor once they are in stock.

The hobby shop I got my Honcho at only had Venom motors. I got a 55t and it works quite well but I have been thinking I would like a little more speed and have been looking at the 35t HH motors. Want something faster but still a scale trail truck speed.

The 35T are what most of the scaler guys use. It have a little more speed, won't be extremely fast.
