Update.
So after looking at it, i couldnt stand the front fenders. they were waay to wide. So i ripped them off. and cut the car up some more. Remounted. Closer to the body. Still pretty **** wide, but not near as bad. Puddy'ed up. back 99% done. just wanting for the final sanding, and body line drawing after that. after some more putty work, and a ruff sanding, i sprayed another layer of primer to see where the car was sitting imperfection wise. its starting to look better. Roof isnt quite finished, it needs one more layer of putty. and then the front fenders still need to be finished. and tail lights need to be shaped a little better. other wise its getting close to being ready for the final sanding. Enjoy |

hot glue is soft and bends, which will allow it to crack. This is going to be a strictly shelf queen only. So im not worried about it cracking. hot glue is what im using. putty is not made for this type of stuff. in fact its really not made to do the job its suppose to do. i would NEVER use it on a real car. EVER.
the correct way to do this would be fiberglass and resin. But i didnt feel like investing that much money into it. so a $3 tube of glaze was the option i went with. |

Well........ Here.
so i did a lot of sanding. and then thought i would shoot some black to see how it looked. but im an idiot and forgot to wash it nicely and get all the dust off it. So the paint completely rejected the car. So it looks like complete *** right now lol. But you'll get the point. Ill give it a good 2 days or so to dry and then monday ill sand it for the final time and spray it again. should look gorgeous. Still gotta add some body lines. looks to smooth. Least it looks good from this angle!! |

Overall it looks great... I do have one question though... whats the deal with the skirt in this photo:
The one on the other side looks great but this one looks like it needs some more work.... Can't wait to see it finished....

yeah i know. i cant seem to get it to stay sitting flush with the car. i messed up somewhere along the lines. putty wont stay in there, it just cracks out when you sand it. But guess what, that gymkhana car is always beat up and broken and never perfect he hits so much crap with it lol. so im chalking it up as a "racing accident factor" and saying the car would never be perfect anyways lol.
boils down to im being lazy. |
